COMPETITIVE MTB (SOLO & TEAMS)

This is an electronic chip-timed event. 24 Hour SOLO & TEAM Racers (at least 1 team member must be at the start) will start in Mack Dick Pavilion & ride on the road until directed to turn in on the trail. This will be the start of your 1st lap.

 

Course for even years (2024, 2026, 2028) will be clockwise (ELEVATION GAIN – 450 ft) & for odd years (2023, 2025, 2027) will be counter-clockwise (ELEVATION GAIN – 410 ft).

DISTANCE IS 8.5 MILES

 

Racers will complete their laps in Chinaberry/Soapberry Day Use Area. There will be a Chip Exchange Zone in Chinaberry/Soapberry for teams to exchange riders.

 

SOLO will compete against others who register for the same hour category (6, 12, 24), type of bike, and who also fall into the same age bracket – 14 & Under, 15-17, 18-34, 35-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79… Top 3 in each age bracket per hour category will be awarded trophies.

 

TEAMS do not have age breakdowns.  You will compete against teams registered in the same category as you with the same type of bike – MM, FF, 2 Person Mixed, MMMM, FFFF, 4 Person Mixed, M LARGE, F LARGE, Mixed LARGE

 

12 & 6 Hour SOLO racers & TEAMS (1 teammate must be present at the start) will start in Juniper Campground.
