100 MILER INFO
This is for 24 Hour Solo Racers and Slicks & Knobbies Racers only. Racers start in Mack Dick Pavilion & make the climb out of Palo Duro Canyon. You will then complete the 100 mile route listed on the map. The 100 mile route is non-drafting. There will be 6 stocked rest stops along the way & support vehicles on the course. DIRECT FOLLOW VEHICLES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Your support crew may be on the course in order to meet you at the designated rest stops. Once you complete the 100 mile lap, you will re-enter Palo Duro Canyon & head to Juniper Campground (24 SOLO) or turn into Chinaberry (SLICKS & KNOBBIES). Upon swiping your timing chip, you will complete your first lap. The rest of your 24 Hours will be spent inside Palo Duro Canyon on the road loop or on the MTB course where you may draft.
If you are not at REST STOP 4 (Arney) by 4:30pm, you will be pulled from the course by one of the support vehicles & returned to Palo Duro Canyon.
You will compete against others who register for 24 Hour Road Solo and who also fall into the same age bracket – 14 & Under, 15-17, 18-34, 35-49, 50+. or against other Slicks & Knobbie racers. Top 3 in each age bracket for the road and Top 3 Males and Females for Slicks & Knobbies will be awarded trophies.
