WHAT is 24 HOURS?


Specifics

  • 24 Hours in the Canyon is a team or individual event in which participants can ride as far as their inspiration takes them.  Riders are encouraged to set a personal and/or team goal of the amount of time they will ride.


  • NON-COMPETITIVE (Non-Timed):
    There is an award for the largest team
  • Riders may choose to ride in the following categories:
    1. Road - view map
    2. Mountain Bike - view map
    3. or a Combination
  • Teams may be made up of an unlimited number of riders.


  • COMPETITIVE (Electronic Chip Timing):
    Trophies will be awarded for each finisher in all competitive categories

  • Riders may choose to ride in the following categories:
    1. Mountain Bike - view map
      • 24 Hour (12 Noon Saturday to 12 Noon Sunday) or
      • 12 Hour (12 Midnight Saturday to 12 Noon Sunday)

        • 2 Person Team (MM/FF/Mixed)
        • 4 Person Team (MMMM/FFFF/Mixed)
    2. Road Bike - view map
      • 24 Hour (12 Noon Saturday to 12 Noon Sunday) or
      • 12 Hour (12 Midnight Saturday to 12 Noon Sunday)

        • Tandem (MM/FF/Mixed)
        • 2 Person Team (MM/FF/Mixed)

      • Only completed laps will count
      • Drafting is allowed
      • Ranking will be based on number of completed laps
        • Tie breaker will be based on time to complete total number of laps

  • Red Eye Rider - Riders who ride 1 hour between 2:00 am – 4:00 am will be entered in a drawing for an award
  • Non-Competitive rider who leads first lap (Road & Mountain Bike)
  • Random Drawings will be done for various “door prizes”

Registration Fee

  • $40.00 Non-Competitive Individual – Before May 15th
  • $100.00 12 Hour Competitive – Before May 15th
  • $125.00 24 Hour Competitive – Before May 15th
  • After May 15th, add $20 late fee to registration
